Our client, a consumer beauty and lifestyle company is looking for a Vice President of Finance. This is a remote position where the role will work closely with the CEO and management to help accelerate the team’s growth and lead the finance and accounting team. The VP of Finance will help guide the direction of the organization.
Job Responsibilities:
- Act as a strategic partner to executive leadership
- Align and support company vision
- Oversee financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
- Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies impacting financial strategy and operations
- Prepare financial documentation for Board review
- Create and monitor financial forecasts, and long-term financial models
- Develop and execute financial strategies that align with the company's growth objectives
- Oversee and coordinate the following financial services: monthly and annual closing
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue enhancement cycles, general ledger accounting and reconciliation, budget review, accounts payable processing, information systems and internal controls
- Implement robust risk management strategies to safeguard the company's financial assets
- Manage the company's compliance with local and federal regulatory matters to include corporate taxes, payroll, sales taxes and others
- Ensure compliance with international financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements
- Ensure multi-state tax compliance
- Monitor cash flow and working capital to maintain financial stability and support growth initiatives that include a minimum cash threshold to meet operational and client funding needs
- Streamline and optimize financial processes, systems, and controls to support efficiency and scalability
- Oversee preparation of cost analysis, review expenses, and reconcile P&L accounts to ensure proper reporting of operations
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance transparency and accountability
- Work closely with our VP Operations to drive operational efficiency and improve margins
Education and Required Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in a leadership position
- 5+ years of experience in financial operations, benefits industry preferred
- At least 5 years accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field
- MBA required
- Preferred experience in international reporting and financials
- Strong understanding of international finance and global tax regulations
- Proven experience in managing and developing finance teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and manage multiple priorities
- Experience in M&As
- Travel expectations
- Preferred experience working in a SOC I, SOC II, PCI organization
Compensation: $175,000 – $220,000 plus full benefits
